Kentucky

Where do I begin? I haven't posted on this blog for over a year. Yikes! But now that we are across the country from everyone we know this seems to be the easiest way to update everyone with our lives. We will start more recent and go back from there. I'm sure I have millions of pictures that have stories to go with them from over the past year.

So... We live in Kentucky now. Tyson was offered a job in the Forest Service Job Corps as a principal out here and that was just to good to pass up. To say the least, this has been a super hard couple of months for me. I did not want to leave Oregon and can't wait for my coming visit already.

We did take the opportunity to take our time and make some stops along the way. We visited a couple famous places and even had our moment of fame. (That was a moment I would like to forget)

I was leaving my best freind behind and I sent her lots of pictures to document. Most are dumb.

Beginning of the driving. I finally found a subway with chocolate cookies again. I think this was in Burns.

We took the Kids to Lego World in Kansas City. It was pretty cool. All these pictures are out of order becuase blogger doesn't know how to put them in order and I'm not patient enough.

Lego Ride. The faster you peddle your feet the higher you go in the air. Pretty awesome!

Life size Dorthy made completely out of legos. I want to play all day and just build things. They actually had a spot where you could watch a "master builder" through a window building. That's his job all day! Sit there and let people watch you play with a room filled with legos.

Who Doesn't want a lego fridge or just a room full of legos. Oh if you don't notice that's the yellow brick road made out of legos.

We went to St. Louis which was full of history and alot more then just an arch. It was amazing. The arch is cool but not like the courthouse. Also all around the arch is under construction. They are in the process of making it a beautiful park. The picture right above is of a catholic church that had the most gorgeous bells that went off on the hour. This is the court house where Dred Scott sued for his freedom along with his wife. They history was amazing and a great educational experience for my kids.

The court house was absolutely gorgeous. The renaissance is breathtaking. They designed things in a dome like that so when you stand right in the middle on the lower floor the walls make a natural microphone for your voice for everyone to hear. It really works...It tried it out. I went to that very top level to take pictures. The higher you go the shorter the railings and the steeper the stairs and smaller the stairs... I might have gone back down on my butt. Right below is the original flooring in the building. So pretty. St. Lous all together was a city I don't mind never going back to. It was terrifying. It reminded me of SanFransisco. Alot of scetchy people and more traffic then one person can navigate. I'm surprised our stuff wasn't stolen when we left our car. We also foudn the subway accidently. That was terrifying, like you are going to be mugged terrifying.

Well McKylee is just cute, and that would be sharing my car with a dog. I told you these pictures are impossible to move around so sorry.

We stayed in some pretty awesome hotel rooms. We stayed in a really really nice hotel in Kansas City. A little to nice with kids and pets. If it were just Tyson and me it would have been perfect. And that food below came from there resteraunt in the hotel. It was the amazing down to the made from scratch noodles.
This would be my pets thinking they were people. I let it go since it was probably pretty stressful going from hotel to hotel. This was the nice hotels bathrrom. Yes that would be marble floors and that was the view. Oh and the gym! Wow. I would pay to have a membership there it was amazing.
This is when we went to the lincoln center which Jaden was in love with and we were the 4 millionth visitor or something and had a million balloons dumped on us and got all sorts of prizes and back stage tours and so on. Cool but I didn't like being on camera.
We go to  see Amber and her puppy. He was so cute. the necklace is something I got from the lincoln center. It's a real Cameo locket and I loved it right away and since I won prize money Tyson let me get it. Yes I seriously one a gift card of $100 for there gift shop, so we let the kids all pick something out and Tyson paid the difference so I could get this necklace.
This would be licorice international. OH MY GOSH it was Heaven. So cool and I got some really amazing goodies that are all gone now but it's ok becuase I found out you can order from them online. (Tyson doens't like that idea)

This  would be mckylee enjoying ihop breakfast

I think this is our first hotel
This was the Lincoln Center. That is one of lincolns top hats and I had already taken the picture when I realized I wasn't supposed to be taking pictures. Whoops.
It was so windy in Indiana. It was worse then the Coast.

So there you have it. We made it and we had some amazing experiences. We also took the kids to Lincolns tomb where his whole family is burried along with him. It's an amazing monument. I can't find thouse pictures though.
