Eternal Families

Last week on I believe Friday, a little girl that is a month older than Natalia fell into a canal here in Rigby. Here's the story. This little girls grandparents were watching her for the day. They went outside with her and about two minutes later couldn't find her. They called the police and told them that their 16 month old grandaughter was missing and are afraid she fell in the canal on their property. Just down the canal a member of our bishopric was standing in the canal for some reason instead of being at the church helping his wife set up their daughters reception for the next day. While he was in the canal something hit his leg. He thought it was a piece of garbage so he bent down to pick it up. When he picked it up it was this little girl. She had been in the canal for about 15 minutes. They flew her to Salt Lake. On Saturday at 5 PM she opened her eyes and looked around. Yesterday evening she passed away. It is so gut renching and our member of the bishopric was having a hard time with the whole thing. He looked at Natalia and said, "she is exactly that age and started to tear up." She survived for about a week. Jessica and I were talking about why he was in the canal. We though maybe so she would make it through this, and then she didn't. Then we decided that it was probably so she could be found and her family would have enough time to say goodbye to their sweet little angel. It made me cry when I heard she had passed away.
Tysons parents have a canal in their front yard and while it's very pretty it terrifies me. Jaden was so afraid of the water he would have never gotten near it. Natalia how ever is not afraid of the water. It's like a fish when she sees it. I usually make the kids play in the back so I don't even have to worry about the canal . I just have to make sure they don't go past the house. I will be their after Nauvoo for the reception because I am making the wedding cake. I think I will bring the monkey leash thing and make sure she is by my side at all times.
It is so sad when little babies pass away. I am so glad that I know and that the family that just lost their little girl are LDS. What a comfort it is to know that we have eternal families and that if we live righteously we will be able to raise them in the life to come. I don't know how people go on through life without the knowledge of eternal families. I think that is one of those things that keeps you going through this life. I have no doubt that they miss her and have alot of pain. Please pray for their little family, their name is the Zollingers. Paul Mitchell hair academy in rexburg just raised $1600 today at a car wash to help the family.
Anyway, please keep them in your prayers.
