Natalia is now 5 years old! It's crazy. She follows every predictable trend out there. First it's the Lorax. Now it's Tinker Bell and Frozen. I have to admit the new Tinker Bell movie is pretty awesome and who doesn't love Frozen. She is in gymnastics and will have a gymnastic show here in June. They are dancing to Frozen "Let It Go" ( I am getting sick of this song).
Her hair is still thin and doesn't grow much. She loves pink and has nicknamed McKylee "Silly". They get along great. I don't know what we will do when Natalia is in Kindergarten next year.
Natalia is full of fun little facts. She was over playing with a friend a couple of weeks ago on the sand dunes. When her friends mom yelled for them to come back to the car Natalia quickly ran over yelling "I'm Running Because Running Is Good For You" The oldest brother thought it was pretty cute. When I go on a run she wants to run with me. That is a small problem. I love that she wants to run and understands the benefits of being active. We planted our garden and she has pretty much taken it over. She reminds me to water HER plants. She picked out everything except the tomatoes.
She loves to look at books. When she wakes up in the morning you will find a pile of books under the cover that she must have fallen asleep with. She loves library story time and on hot days like this last week she loves going to the lake and playing in the sand and water and catching salamanders.
This cake was a white almond cake with strawberry danish dessert and fresh strawberries for the filling. Each level has four layers to make it extra tall.
The figurines are the storybook collection found at Toys R Us. I didn't want to even try to attempt to make them out of gum paste. Plus I no longer live close to a store that would carry those items. The closest joanns and micheals is an hour away.
The frosting is Vanilla buttercream with a white chocolate ganache drizzled over top.
The Castle, Trees and the Snowflakes are made out of white chocolate.
