We went in this morning and Tyson has been sustained as the 1st counselor in the elders quorum. Ha Ha Ha! I am still callingless but it's been kind of fn because I just sub alot. Today I got to sub as primary choristor. We built a snowman and everyone thought I was a genious. I told them it came out of the singing time books. Nothing special.

Crazy Week

On Tuesday we had a new semester at Shelley High so kids were getting there new classes. I had 5 boys join my show choir this semester for a total of 12 boys in one choir. The other choir has 8 boys. I'm way excited since boys are the hardest thing to get. I had a couple of girls drop but I had enough join that it evened out those numbers prett well. I hate when people drop but it just happens.
On Wednesday we had our first annual potato dinner fundraiser. It kind of fits us since we are the shelley russets. It was a huge success and way to much work. I never want to be the one in charge again. I was so afraid it was going to be a huge flop but we made around 1500 dollars. I went with to one of my students family potato cellars because they were nice enough to donate to us. I got there and realized that they weren't going to miss 250 potatoes with about 6 cellars and we went to the small one. Lets just say I am not a farm girl. The cellars are very interesting and I wore the wrong shoes because I forgot we were going out that day. My students family also has a raised pickup and lets just say they were laughing pretty hard as I tried to get in the dumb thing just so we could get out there without getting stuck in a normal car. We had about 15 potatoes left over and I know that some of those potatoes got cut into thirds because of their size so I am really curious how many people actually came.
Thursday we went to barbershop and the students had a great time.
Friday, we had class and FINALLY the week is over.

FORWARD

TODAY Natalia crawled forward. Now she only did it becuase she wanted to get to me and have me pick her up to stop the tears, but still she crawled! I can't believe my baby girl is crawling where did the months go. I am so glad that she did it today though because I knew it was coming soon and I didn't want to be gone when she actually started crawling. The rest of the week I will be at school doing fundraisers and concerts.
On a side note, the other night I was watching the news and the Haiti scenes came up they showed a baby girl that was 8 months old with 3rd degree burns all over her back they were putting a burn cream on her back and said that if she was in the states that she would be sedated because of the pain. I balled my eyes out and felt horrible for that baby and the mother that had to watch that. I know it sounds so dorky but I am so grateful to live in the United States where we have the technology and the resources. I had to turn the tv off and not watch, the baby was so close to Natalias name and so I couldn't help but picture my child. I know that our country is having problems but they are so small compaired to what is going on around the world.
Anyway, leaving on a positive note My Baby Girl is CRAWLING

Crawling

So yesterday Natalia figured out crawling. The only problem is that she crawls backwards so she is being very creative on how to get to her toys. It involves crawling backwards. Turning around to see where the toy is now, turn back around and crawl backwards. Repeat those steps until you finally get to the toy. However, she did finally figure out how to move forward in the walker. No she just needs to learn stearing. It is very entertaining.

Christmas, New Look, Going to be 9 MONTHS!

So it's been a while. We had a great christmas but for some reason I didn't remember to take tons of pictures so I have a few. I guess I didn't think about it because we kind of had a Christmas with my parents at Thanksgiving because Amber was going on her mission. Jaden got tons of transformers and has enough for his own army. He also got the movie so when he goes to Jessicas he doesn't ask to watch it all the time. Natalia got a little teapot set and it is so cute and she likes to play with it. It goes great with her little purse that she is constantly playing with that my mom got her and then the little stroller for her new little doll. She is jsut the cutest little thing in the world with those huge eyes.
This year I made Jaden scooby doo pj's and a little night gown for Natalia. The night gown was huge though because it was as small as I could find and I am not good at altering stuff. So she will be able to wear it for a long time. Probably even next Christmas. I also made Natalias Christmas dress. It is way cute on her but also rather large. I did the 6-9 month pattern and I swear it is for 12 months. Oh well, she will get to wear it longer.
Durning Christmas break we got some snow and have been sleding. But, while we were in Boise, Jaden prayed that we would get lots of snow so we could make lots of snowmen. Well, we woke up the next morning with two or three inches of snow. Jaden was pretty excited and it was a good lesson for Jaden to realize that prayers get answered. The snow was to powdery to make snowmen but Jaden still plans on his snowman sometime. He isn't letting Tyson forget. We also have had some pretty cold weather. We have gotten down to negative 18 a couple days but have still had school. They cancel school and negative 20 because you can get frost bite in 10 seconds when it's that cold and they don't want kids standing at bus stops in that weather.
Tyson and I still don't have callings in our ward. We went to our first meeting and they didn't have anything, finally on the third Sunday in the ward we had a relief society presidency and other presidencies. We went to the third sunday and the new relief society president is a school teacher in the area and is really good and remembering names. She was going down the line and asked me what my name was. I told her and immediatly she said very excited, "i've heard of you! Do you play the piano by chance?" Well that didn't last long. The next week I was asked to substitute on the piano in relief society and I was just asked to do it again next week because the lady who was called to do it will be gone. I was also hunted down to accompanie a special musical number for this coming sunday. Maybe I won't get a calling and just be asked at random to play the piano. I would really like to teach something but we will just have to see what happens. If all else failed we do have one of those new pianos in the relief society room that looks like a real piano but is electric and has the hymns programmed into it. It doesn't sound as good as a real piano and I am pretty sure everything is about a step higher that it really should be but that's what we have.
So I have been having a hard time seeing at night becuase the headlights are so bright and take over my whole window with glare. So, I went to the eye doctor for the first time and found out that I have a stigmitism so they gave me glasses. It does wonders at night and it's an added bonus that I don't come home with headaches every day from reading music. Jessica also colored my hair and fried my head but I really like it and my students do to. Now, I am going to the dermatologist to get my face taken care of and a doctor to help my thyroid get back to normal so all the excersise and healthy eating I have been doing lately will actually start to do something to my weight and blood pressure. It is so frustrating because for the last coupel of months I have been working out, doing yoga to relaz in the eveningi and eating alot healthier just to help my body start to go back to normal. Now, I wasn't unhealthy to begin with but I want to be even healthier and for some reason my body doesn't like me right now. They told me it's probably just my hormones out of wack and it will take some time but this is becoming stupid now. By the way I am not as big as that picture makes me look that's my arm hold up the camera. I only need to lose 10 pounds to be wear I should be I want to lose 20 though.
Enough of my complaining. Natalia is going to be 9 months this week. I won't have time on the 15 to write it on the blog so I am doing it right now. She is growing up way to fast. She is still tiny for her age and can still fit in most of her 3-6 month closts. All of her 6-9 month clothes are a tad to big and get eatin all the time. She got her first two teeth last week and is almost crawling. She knows how to get around though and we really have to watch her to make sure she doens't get anything in her mouth. She smiles all the time and loves her cherios. Her hair is getting long enough that sometimes she will let me put little pigtails in it. Well I better go and get something done. Enjoy the pictures. (Jaden picked out the leapord print shirt, and it was $4 in the clearance buckets at gymboree so I let him get it)
